The Canopy Healthcare Group is an integrated healthcare provider, and the holding group of such leading providers as Auckland Breast Centre, Canopy Cancer Care, and TRG imaging.
As New Zealand's largest private medical oncology and radiology provider, Canopy approached us to develop a brand identity for the holding group which would complement the subsidiary brands, and ensure brand consistency throughout the group.
They also needed a website that would showcase the members of the group, as well as the Canopy Health Group ethos: to ensure the services and support patients receive are of a superior clinical level, delivered in a warm and supportive environment.
Using the letters C and H (for Canopy Healthcare), we designed a 'forest' icon, to evoke the image of the parent company (the large tree) spreading its branches wide over its subsidiaries (the smaller trees).
In addition, the forest icon and gradient greens align with the Canopy brand as uniquely New Zealand, and creates a softer, less-clinical look.
We suggested that Canopy Healthcare consolidate their websites using the Silverstripe subsite feature. This makes development easier because a feature rolled out on the main site becomes immediately available for subsites. It also allows Canopy to manage multiple related sites from a single CMS interface, and share assets across the subsites.
An added benefit of using the Silverstripe framework for the web solution is that it ensures an SEO-friendly and responsive website that displays beautifully and allows for a seamless user experience, regardless of the type of device being used to access the site.
With their new head office, Canopy Healthcare were keen to demonstrate that they are proud to be a New Zealand operated company. They also wanted to ensure the head office was an inviting place where their employees would love to work.
We achieved these goals by using corporate signage displaying gorgeous high-quality images of New Zealand native plants. This allowed us to strike the perfect balance between creating privacy for meeting rooms and open working space, while still telling their brand story.
